“I Am Not Just What I Give”

I try to find my place
in the hearts I hold dearest but, sometimes it feels like I am just filling gaps,patching needs,
never quite belonging.

They see what I offer,
not always who I am to some, I am too much too loud, too soft,too emotional,too fierce to others, I am not enough, not quiet enough.not strong enough, not simple enough to hold.

I speak love in a hundred silent ways,
yet still feel unheard,
misread and missed.

I am tired of trying to fit into molds I never chose.

I want to go far
not to escape,
but to finally listen
to the voice I have buried
beneath years of “yes,”
beneath masks of “I’m fine.”

I want peace,
not just quiet stillness not silence
Presence, not performance.

I want to rest
without guilt,to speak
without shrinking.
to be without needing to prove I belong.
I am not just what I give.

I am not a character to fill the role
I am a whole being,
with dreams,
with edges,
with a soul that longs to be seen, held and heard.

And I am learning
maybe for the first time that I don’t have to disappear to feel free.

I just have to return
to myself to listen my inner voices.

نصیب پھر کوئی تقریب قرب ہو کہ نہ ہو

یہ اہل بزم تنک حوصلہ سہی پھر بھی
زرا فسانہ دل ابتدا کرو اس سے

یہ کیا کہ تم ہی غم ہجر کے فسانے کہو
کبھی تو اس کے بہانے سنا کرو اس سے
