Vivo is set to launch the X200 Ultra in China on April 21. The flagship smartphone will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with an 85mm focal length. Ahead of the launch, Vivo had teased a photography kit accessory, offering additional battery life and better grip. Now, the company has teased an add-on zoom lens for the kit. This external telephoto lens has been engineered by ZEISS and is said to be the “fourth lens” of the Vivo X200 Ultra.

Vivo confirmed via a Weibo post that the add-on lens will use the phone’s 200-megapixel telephoto sensor and offer up to 200mm (8.7x optical) zoom with an aperture of f/2.3. It attaches to the X200 Ultra’s photography kit via a custom adapter and features 13 high-transmittance glass lenses arranged into three optical groups in a Kepler structure. Such an arrangement allows the zoom lens to feature long focal lengths in a compact body.
Teasers point towards the photography kit for the X200 Ultra featuring a two-tone design reminiscent of a vintage camera, a shutter button, and a USB-Type C port. Other confirmed details include a 2,300 mAh battery and a shoulder strap for portability.
