After a series of hints and trailers, Vivo has officially confirmed that it will launch the Vivo X200 Ultra in April 2025. The device will soon debut in China as the top model in the Vivo X200 Series, which currently has the X200 and X200 Pro. The company has also hinted at the release of a Vivo X200s, which will feature similar dimensions as the latest iPhone Pro models.
Vivo X200 Ultra Launch Timeline
At the 2025 Boao Forum for Asia, the company announced that the Vivo X200 Ultra will launch in China in April 2025. However, Vivo has not shared an exact date for the release. Vivo says that this device will integrate Vivo’s latest advancements in imaging, which suggests that we could see a huge camera upgrade.
Vivo’s Product Manager Han Boxiao revealed the design of the Vivo X200s through a Weibo post. The back panel appears to be similar to the regular X200 models. He also mentioned that the dimensions of the device are the same as Apple’s iPhone Pro models.
Vivo X200 Ultra Specifications (Expected)
Vivo has already shared some details of its X200 Ultra device by sharing an image of the camera module. The device will feature a 200MP Samsung HP9 sensor with an 85mm periscope telephoto lens. It will be paired with 2x 50MP cameras with Sony LYT-818 sensors. The phone will also have a 14mm ultrawide lens.
The Vivo X200 Ultra is expected to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. To recall, the X200 and X200 Pro use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. It is worth noting that both are the first processors from respective chipmakers to be engineered on TSMC’s 3nm architecture.
The device is tipped to get a 6.82-inch quad curved AMOLED screen from BOE, with a 2K resolution. The battery capacity is said to be 6000mAh with support for 90W fast charging.
