Activision has officially released the Verdansk map launch trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3. The trailer aims to build the hype around the return of the original big map. It showcases various popular map locations and takes players on a trip down nostalgia lane. The game will also have a special Return to Verdansk event filled with free in-game rewards to celebrate the map’s return.

The launch trailer confirms the Verdansk map will return to Call of Duty: Warzone on April 3. It is undoubtedly the biggest change included in the game’s upcoming Season 3 update. The nearly 3-minute-long trailer has Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody playing in the background as it takes you to different popular map locations.
The trailer features various Call of Duty operators including the likes of Ghost, Captain Price, Farah, and Troy Marshall. Warzone fans will easily notice locations like the Prison, the Superstore, and the Stadium. It goes on to show different weapons and fights featuring vehicles.
Activision says the Verdansk map has been rebuilt from the ground. It will support 150-player Battle Royale matches as was the case during its original release in 2020. It adds players will get the same gameplay feel and experience as the original days. However, the team has certainly made a few improvement here and there, like better interior lighting and enhanced topography at certain places.
Call of Duty: Warzone Return to Verdansk event will give players an opportunity to earn free rewards. There are a total of 20 rewards to unlock including up to six of them being Instant Unlocks. Every player will get the Kilo 141 Assault Rifle and Domino and Mil-Sim USEF operators right after logging into the game. If you played the map during its original release, you will further get the following three rewards: Coming Home parachute, Like We Never Left gunscreen, and Blue Legacy contrail.
